IA Report: Communication – Energy infrastructure priorities for 2020 and beyond – A Blueprint for an integrated European energy network

Type of practice:

The E3ME model is used for the purposed of an advanced macroeconomic impact analysis. The PRIMES model (http://www.e3mlab.ntua.gr/e3mlab/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&id=35%3Aprimes&Itemid=80&layout=default&lang=en) is used to estimate future demand for energy up to 2030, the impact assessment itself being limited to 2020. The results are compared to the PRIMES baseline scenario and other scenario results. The corresponding IA Report http://ec.europa.eu/governance/impact/ia_carried_out/docs/ia_2010/sec_20... gives an account of these applications.
